News Headline: Latest shot in hummus war: Israel doubles record

I read this and thought they had misspelled Hamas. Nope. There is an actual conflict going on between Lebanon and Israel about hummus.

Lebanon is suing Israel to get them to stop claiming hummus is Israeli. They want Israel to call it something else claiming the word hummus is a Lebanese word, just as the yummy concoction is a Lebanese food.

This sounds like a much healthier way to wage war than these two countries usually choose. Can you picture it? Guys on either side of the border lobbing big globs of chickpea paste at each other.

Geez, these guys will fight about anything. Can giant pita bread be far behind?
