What I really want to know is, what the heck that last guy was spending our money on for the eight years after 9/11.
As far as security goes, I can understand the boredom of the TSA folks. Just think about it; day after day doing the same old thing, looking for bad guys, and finding nothing but bottles of shampoo and tweezers. It must be hard for employees to keep alert.
I think TSA needs a new approach. Every once in a while, they should tap an employee on the shoulder and put them on the next departing flight. If the plane makes it safely to its destination, the employee gets a couple days paid vacation. If it doesn't, there won't be any need to reassign them.
